Welcome to Puerto Vallarta Pro Am

2024 marks the 35th anniversary for The Puerto Vallarta Pro Am. The tournament boasts 500 annual participants including both PGA Tour players & Senior Tour Players competing. The tournament has grown from its 1989 inception with 11 Teams to 100 Teams and a Waiting List. The Pro Am is about good times, friends, and value intertwined in a competiton on world -class championship venues. The Pro Am’s reputation and success generate over 80% of teams returning year-after-year. We continue to modify the event in an effort make things more equitable & enjoyable for everyone involved!

Update

The Puerto Vallarta Pro Am’s long-term contract expired with both the hotels and golf courses upon the conclusion of last year’s event (2023). We are happy to announce we have been able to negotiate a new 2-year contract.

2024 will represent the 35th anniversary of the Pro Am. To celebrate our anniversary, beyond good friends and great golf, we plan some really special additions for 2024. Hats & towels will be imported from a US name golf manufacturer. Each amateur will receive a $100 Gift Card from the same US golf manufacturer. We are currently negotiating to provide a customized and commemorative bottle of tequila to each participant. 2024 promises to be the best Pro Am to date.

There will be a major Motion Picture being filmed at the Westin during our event. Filming began in June and will run through the year-end. In our contract, we have been able to negotiate limited filming while we are there. Twenty Teams will be hosted at the Westin. There will be some restrictions for these Teams. We are working with the Westin, Marriott and our Transportation Company to program around and offset any inconvenience. A complete disclosure will be made to those 20 Teams.

We will continue working with both the hotel(s) and club(s) on safety measures to best ensure the safety and comfort of our participants. The Marriott, Westin, Vista Vallarta Club de Golf and Marina Vallarta Club de Golf continue to take additional measures to protect the safety and well-being of their guests and we will continue to jointly coordinate these efforts for the 2024 Pro Am.
